Hi all, I got error: 'sfc' is not recognized as an internal command when trying to scan system for errors. It's Win 7.
Any help is appreciated.

Kind regards, Daniel.

Hello,

FRST Scan:
  1. Download the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:
32-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
64-bit: Downloading Farbar Recovery Scan Tool
  2. Right-click to run the tool as administrator. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  3. Note: Ensure that the Addition.txt check box is checked at the bottom of the form within the Optional Scan area.
  4. Press the Scan button.
  5. Please wait for the tool to finish. It will produce two logfiles called FRST.txt and Addition.txt in the same directory the tool is run from (which should be the desktop)
  6. Post the logfiles FRST.txt and Addition.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Have you changed something recently on this machine ?

  6. When finished, a log called Fixlog.txt will appear in the same directory the tool is run from.
  7. Post the logfile Fixlog.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Thank you for your support, but I just upgraded to the latest W10 dev branch (21277.1000).

Sincerely, Daniel.

There was a nasty program on this machine.
Make sure your antivirus program is uptodate. Perform a full system scan and report the result.
Also run a full system scan with Malwarebytes and report that result also.

I stripped W10 antivirus, but I will post MBAM results in here. Thanks again.

When Windows 7 was running on this machine there were several services missing/broken, a nasty program was or is still present and the file SFC.EXE was also tampered.
As you now running Windows 10 I would recommend to keep Windows Defender active to start with. If you experience less performance while gaming you can disable Windows Defender when needed.
Please let Malwarebytes scan the system and report the result.

Scan is still in progress. When it finishes, I'll post the results.

This doesn't look good.
There is a hacktool present to use Windows and / or Office not legitimately.
It is against the rules to help people with an illegal operating system or other illegally used programs.
Hacktools can make your system slower and also less secure.
There is also a program present that might install ransomware which can lead to file-encryption.

Do you agree that we continue which includes removing the hacktool ?

Nvm, it's everything okay now.
Thank you for your time and help, I appreciate it.

Sincerely, Daniel.

Okay then.

Take care.
