Anyone out the good at fixing sfc corruptions? I know Bobster52 is, but I haven' seen him around in a while??

Anyway here are the details:
-Win2k8 - fully updated
-I already ran the update readiness tool with no luck

When I run sfc /scannow, it finds four corruptions in the following files:
inetres.admx
InetRes.adml
Wdf01000Uninstall.mof
Wdf01000.mof

It claims to have repaired them all and requests a reboot, but, after the reboot, if you run SFC again, it finds and repairs the same items?? (repeat as many times as you desire)

CBS.log can be found here:
ftp://ftp.cnets.net/Users/Deek/CBS.log

ANY help or direction would be appreciated!!!

Thanks, Deek

Hmmm...I wish I could correct my typo in the title...should be SFC, not SCF

Fixed! :)

Thread moved to Windows Updates forum where the SFC, CBS log, etc... experts are.

Thanks, John, I always miss the ones in the other forums!

Hello Deek, welcome to Sysnative!

The problem you're facing is caused by a bugged Windows Update and as you correctly noticed, two different versions of the same file are being swapped every time you run SFC. It's perfectly harmless and a fix will come from Microsoft eventually, so until then you can safely ignore it :)

Very good, thank you...I though it may be a symptom of some other issues, but I will hang tight on that one and pursue the other issues as unrelated.
