Several different BSODs under high load

Hey everyone,

I'm kinda deseperate at this point. I've built my PC months back and started having BSODs after a while when the system (Win 7 SP1 64bit) was under heavy load, be it demanding video games or rendering videos. I came to the conclusion that it could be a problem of interfering programs/drivers etc. since I had a variety of game modding tools and software installed. Naturally I kept all important drivers up-to-date and updated my BIOS to see if it solves anything. It didn't; so I decided to pick up a secondary SSD and set up Windows 8.1 64bit as a secondary OS that I exclusively use for gaming and keep clean from any other programs, A/V etc. Unfortunately, it didn't help with the BSODs at all so I think it is hardware-related. Temperatures are fine, I ran Memtest on my RAM sticks for 6 passes, no errors. I really don't know what else to do...

Unfortunately I had two errors with the routine described here.
1. The Sysnative tool was looping at the "Waiting for system info" part but I heard that was no problem. I just manually zipped up the files.
2. perfmon /report wouldn't generate the report in html format. This issue is described on various other sites as well. Apparently MS removed this feature in Windows 8.1?

General:
· Windows 8.1
· x64
· Full retail
· Hardware: ~1 year
· Fresh OS install, ~1 week

· Intel i5 4570
· Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (MSI Gaming)
· ASRock B85 Pro
· be quiet System Power 7 non-modular 80+ silver 450W

· Desktop

Any ideas appreciated :)

Hi. . .

The 4 dumps have different bugchecks and list different items as the probable cause. They included invalid memory referenced, memory access violations, unknown USB issues and video.

Such variations are indicative of unknown hardware failure.

Start running hardware diags -
- RAM - memtest86+ - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/3909-test-ram-memtest86.html
- HDD - SeaToold for DOS, LONG test - all drives - https://www.sysnative.com/forums/hardware-tutorials/4072-hard-drive-hdd-diagnostics.html

If you have an SSD, check SSD manufacturer's support site for firmware upgrade.

I would also try a higher wattage PSU as well if you can get one and swap it out for testing.

Regards. . .

Hi jcgriff2,

thanks for your reply.
As I mentioned in the first post, I already checked my RAM sticks with Memtest, no errors. I'll however let the tool run for 10 passes this time around, I think this should most likely rule out any errors. Meanwhile I swapped my RAM stick setup to A1/B1 from A2/B2, maybe one of the slots is faulty.
I'll also run the HDD Diagnostics afterwards and report back.
