Re: [WinServer2012R2Upd3 x64] WU error 80073701...

OK, looks like we need to resolve the following.

Code:
2017-07-08 05:40:05, Info CBS Failed to pin deployment while resolving Update: Package_37_for_KB3185279~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.3.1.3.3185279-40_neutral_GDR from file: (null) [HRESULT = 0x80073701 - ERROR_SXS_ASSEMBLY_MISSING]

Please do the following.

Remove Update Manually
1. Right-click on the Start button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter
wusa /uninstall /KB:3185279

3. Let me know if it says it was successful or if there are any errors.

Re: [WinServer2012R2Upd3 x64] WU error 80073701...

Thanks. Please do the following.

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to SendSpace and just provide the link here.

Re: [WinServer2012R2Upd3 x64] WU error 80073701...

Thanks. Please do the following.

FRST Registry Search
1. Click your Start button and type cmd.
2. Right-click on Command-Prompt that comes up and choose Run as administrator.
3. In the command-prompt window please copy and paste the following and then hit enter.
reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS c:\windows\system32\config\COMPONENTS

4. If you see "The operation completed successfully." then you did it correctly and can move on.

5. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
6. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
7. Copy and paste
KB3185279into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.

8. When the scan is complete a notepad window will open with the results. Please copy and paste the contents in your next reply. If for some reason notepad doesn't open the file should be
saved on your desktop named Search.txt.
9. You may close any remaining open windows now.

Re: [WinServer2012R2Upd3 x64] WU error 80073701...

Please do the following.

FRST Fix
NOTICE: This script was written specifically for this user, for use on that particular machine. Running this on another machine may cause damage to your operating system
1. Download attached file and save it to the Desktop.
Note. It's important that both files, FRST64 and fixlist.txt are in the same location or the fix will not work (in this case...the desktop).
2. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
3. Press the Fix button just once and wait. If for some reason the tool needs a restart, please make sure you let the system restart normally. After that let the tool complete its run.
4. When finished FRST64 will generate a log on the Desktop (Fixlog.txt). Please post the contents of it in your reply.
