[Server2008 x64] Not Installing Updates

When I finally displays the updates to be applied and start download and install, it hangs at 0% when trying to install (left it for 12 hrs)

Also noticed svchost.exe process for Windows Update was 1.3 GB

Rebooted it and Ran CheckSUR

Yes please, right now WU scan takes days to complete, sometimes shows fully patched and sometimes showing over 80 missing.

When I get the 80 missing and try to install hangs at 0 %

Over the weekend installed 11 of them by hand and rebooted it

SFCFix doesn't see any issues

Let me know if you need updated CheckSUR and CBS

OK, please start with a clean boot by following the instructions at the link below.

Once you are in a clean boot please do the following.

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

    Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt
  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.

Any idea's for next steps?

The last time I got it to display missing updates
Only doing Windows 2008 and have done KB4040685 to 4025674 (didn't do the .NET yet)

OK, I need a list of all your updates. Please paste the following into a command-prompt.

wmic qfe list brief /format:texttablewsys > "%USERPROFILE%\desktop\hotfix.txt"

After the command runs there will be a file on your desktop named hotfix.txt.

Please zip/attach this file.
