[SOLVED] Server 2019

Sorry, I tried to run the sfcfix.exe, but for some reason it returns saying there is no error, or it crashes. I was able to pull the log though that I see it kind of pulls to see the errors. I wanna say this KB was remove a while back during the printer issue day. Looking it up I didnt see the KB anymore nor do I see this KB as install. Hopefully someone can help me look into this issue to get it fix.

I did try running sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth I also tried download the ISO and pulling from that too, but it wasnt able to find the source files even there.

Sorry if I am going too forward here, but stuff like this is always neat to learn. I HAVE NOT MADE ANY CHANGES NOR HAVE I DONE THIS. I am just trying to understand what steps would normally be taken next in most cases. It looks like its a left over from when we uninstall this KB I assume. Going off past threads, it looks like the next step would be to load the hive for reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\COMPONENTS and then using farbar look up KB5005568 - correct?

Please do the following first.

Follow these instructions to remove an update.

• Open the Start menu of Windows and type the command CMD
• When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator.
• When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following command into it, then press enter.

wusa /uninstall /KB:5005568

• Let me know if it says it was successful or you get the message: The update KB5005568 is not installed on this computer.

No worries ! I havent touch a thing, it was just that I was reading and trying to learn how everything was going down. Hope that is ok. Attached in the image of it not being install on this computer message. I did try performing this step as well just to make sure it wasnt the issue either.

Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop:

Download the 64 bit version: - Farbar Recovery Scan Tool Link

• Open the startmenu and type the command cmd.
• After you find the Command Prompt, right click on it and select Run as Administrator.
• Copy and paste the following into the Command Prompt and press enter.

reg load HKLM\COMPONENTS C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\COMPONENTS

Right-click on the file FRST64.exe and choose Run as administrator.

• Copy and paste the following (code) into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.

• When the scan is complete, a message will display that SearchReg.txt is saved in the same folder FRST was started from.
• Post the logfile SearchReg.txt as attachment in your next reply.

Please run the following fix first to replace the missing files instead of removing this update with FRST.

Step 1. Download

SFCFix and save it to your desktop.

Warning: This fix was written specifically for this system. Do not run this fix on another system.

• Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
• Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
• Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

• SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
• Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
• Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.

DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth
