Server 2019 Cumulative update (KB5013941) fails w/ error code 0x800f0982

This sounds like a common problem, but that it requires custom solutions. I've tried all the basic troubleshooting steps that I've found recommended, including:

1. SFC scan
2. DISM scan
3. Manual updating
4. Attempting to fix Windows Update files

Nothing has worked, so I'm wondering if anyone might be able to troubleshoot based on the attached logs...

In my latest attempt to install, the error seemed to occur 2022-06-02 @ 13:08:39.

I really appreciate any help you might be able to provide!

Step 1. Open a elevated command prompt and run the following command. Attach Dirlist.txt to your next post.

Step 2. Upload your COMPONENTS hive.
  • Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
  • Please copy this file to your desktop.
  • Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
  • Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To > Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
  • If the file is too large to upload here, upload the file to www.wetransfer.com and post the link in your next reply
