Hi all

I'm having trouble installing the last couple of Cumulative Updates on Server 2019, they both fail with error 0x80070057.

I have tried downloading them from the update catalog and installing them but same problem.

sfc /scannow fails at 95% with "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation."

Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth completes successfully with seemingly nothing to report.

ComponentsScanner didn't find anything.

SFCFix doesn't report any corruption.

I had a peek at the CBS logs and my best guess is there's a problem with the package x86_microsoft-windows-g..rveradmintools-gpme_31bf3856ad364e35_10.0.17763.3532_none_a7908acbca3d7c49 but I've got no idea how to proceed from here.

Here's the CBS logs and my COMPONENTS hive, hopefully someone can work their magic on this for me...

Thanks!

I decided to bite the bullet and attempt an in place upgrade. After the upgrade, I checked for updates and found two extra updates relating to .NET - KB5011267 and KB5031222.

Windows Update successfully installed KB5031361 and these two "extra" updates and everything seems alright now.

Thanks.
