Hello,
i have a Windows Server 2016 which serves as a DC and which was hard powered down by the customer. Since then the windows updates weren't installed. I've tried
"Dism /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth /source:wim:E:\sources\install.wim:1 /LimitAccess" what returned, that the component store is corrupt. The command
" C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow" returns
"Systemsuche wird gestartet. Dieser Vorgang kann einige Zeit dauern.
Der Windows-Ressourcenschutz konnte den angeforderten Vorgang nicht ausführen."
(hope "german" is not forbidden)
On dism i've got the error 1009, the registry database is corrupted.
Please help, if possible. Thanks.

Hi @Joe1More,

I apologise for the delay, are you still requiring assistance with this issue? If so, could you please follow these instructions:

Retrieve Components Hive
1. Navigate to C:\Windows\System32\Config and locate the COMPONENTS file.
2. Please copy this file to your desktop.
Note: If you receive an error that this file is in-use, simply reboot your computer and try again.
3. Right-click on this file on your desktop and select Send To...Compressed (zipped) folder. This will create a file named COMPONENTS.ZIP on your desktop.
4. The file will likely be too large to upload here so please upload to a file sharing service. Examples of services to upload to are Dropbox or OneDrive or Google Driveand then just provide the link in your reply.
