I'm experiencing a problem with installing windows cumulative updates on Server 2016 Standard Build 14393.5066. The CMD "DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /ScanHealth" found 7 CBS manifest corruptions, which was reported in the CBS log file. On this specific server I'm unable to map a remote Server 2016's WinSxS folder to attempt a repair using DISM /RestoreHealth CMD. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've included the Component hive and CBS Log folder below but please let me know if anything else is required.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the following DISM command and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
DISM /online /cleanup-image /RestoreHealth

Thank you so much! DISM /ScanHealth is now reporting, "no component store corruption detected" and I'm now able to install cumulative updates!
