[SOLVED] Server 2012 Std Issue

I have a Server 2012 Standard which is failing to install features or a Windows rollup update.

Feature installation fails with: The component store has been corrupted. Error: 0x80073712
SFC returns: Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation.
DISM restorehealth returns: Error: 14098, The component store has been corrupted.
The COMPONENTS hive has an empty DerivedData folder, and no subsequent folders.

Is there anything I can do to repair the server, or are we likely looking at having to reinstall it?

I have attached the SFCFix log, CBS folder, and the COMPONENTS hive.

Thanks,

Chris.

Hello and welcome! Unfortunately, your hive is corrupt beyond repair. Unless you have an earlier backup of the COMPONENTS hive somewhere, you'll have to perform a repair install/an in-place upgrade.

I'm very sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
