[SOLVED] Security Updates for .NET Framework 3.5.1 Failing Windows 7

I did a fresh install of Windows 7 ultimate after my PC went all screwy. Thought it was dead... maybe just hacked.. dunno..

Brand New Hard Drive and updates were failing

getting BSOD with STOP 0x000000F4 codes
nvspcap64.dll had problems starting once

I did like 100 updates MANUALLY, restarting after pretty much each one.

Now Windows Update is down to 2 important updates KB2937610 KB3097989 and they keep giving error code 800B0100

I tried the SURT tool manually, then it showed up in my updates and I tried it again.

The only updates I have are the two above and optional Graphics Driver from Microsoft although I updated with NVIDIA

I also tried the selective startup through msconfig... removing all startup programs and that didn't work either.

Is this an issue because 4.5 has been updated and 3.5.1 should have been done first? I don't know.. just glad my PC is back and working now and would like to get rid of these update errors so I can have a 100% GOOD PC!!!

Also tried both of these updates manually.. all x64 versions since I have the 64 Bit version of Windows 7 Ultimate.. still didn't work

Just ran microsoft FixIt tool, Graphics driver update gone, 5 new updates showing

Trying to install them now

Ran SFCFix

CBS Folder would be 6.94GB???
Not sure what you want me to do in regards to that

Other things possibly worth mentioning..

Got the Black Screen with Cursor, many times, had to reset cmos via battery and Jumpers a few times.

SVCHOST.exe file was 1.6GB large at one point in task manager

Not sure if switching out SSD drive for SATA/IDE caused issues.. was trouble shooting possibly failing Samsung Evo 850 Pro among other things and windows is now loaded on old school HD.

Should have downloaded SP1 on my phone and installed prior to connecting to the internet.. but oops.... didn't

Ran MemTest88? twice
Windows Memory Test twice... once defaults and second time 8 passes full test.. no errors!

System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) - Fix

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread. No one else should follow the instructions below to apply that fix, as it could damage your system. If you need assistance with an issue, please start a new thread and someone will assist you shortly.

Follow the instructions below to fix the errors reported by the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT);
  • Download the attached archive file, Packs.zip and save it on your Desktop;
  • Once it's downloaded, right-click on it and select Extract All...;
  • Check the Show extracted files when complete checkbox, and click on Extract;
  • On completion, a folder will open with two folders inside it, Manifests and Packages;
    • Copy and paste the files of the Manifests folder (if there are any) inside C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\winsxs\Manifests
    • Copy and paste the files of the Packages folder (if there are any) inside C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSur\servicing\Packages
  • Run the System Update Readiness Tool (SURT) again;
  • On completion, attach the log located at C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CheckSUR.log in your next reply;

Ok Aura Did as you asked, looks clear now!? There were no files in the Manifest Folder I assume just default folders for packaging.
