Sceen freezing

Hi, I'm having issue of screen freeze/stutter. I recently installed a game called 'Star Citizen' and found that the screen freezes as soon as I try to move in game, it lasts around 30sec and unfreezes but continues to freeze and unfreeze. Have updated all drivers and done memtest. All are Ok. computer runs fine in other games. I did a sfc scan which showed multiple errors with 'manifest' (see attached) I remember during downloading/patching the game an error message appeared 'Unable to Download manifest', not sure if its connected or just a coincidence. A couple of friends have similar set ups to mine and run without issue: eight core AMD processor, Radeon R9 graphics, 8GB Ram. The thinking is that is must be something to do with my Win 7 64bit. I'm hoping that I won't have to do a fresh install, any help is appreciated.

Yes thank you. Unfortunately it hasn't cured the initial problem, when I try to run the game my screen still freezes, any idea's appreciated
