Return of the Blue BSOD - Windows 11

Anyone else feel ambivalent about the whole blue vs black screen thing? I know some people who have very strong opinions about the color but I'm not really sure why. Nostalgia?

Give me the insider build GSOD please Microsoft, thanks.

The GSOD is funky for sure.

I think nostalgia is a large part of it - the old XP BSOD is iconic! :D

I wish there was some sort of option to customize the BSOD, like colors and choosing how much information is displayed on the screen. Wont ever happen, but it's nice to dream.

And the XP one is definitely my favorite of the BSOD's, although for many years I was terrified of it as I was ~7 years old when my parents had an XP machine and seeing the screen is very frightening for a child.

Now I'm kinda curious if it's still possible to change the colour. It definitely was in older versions....

I prefer Blue because that's whats it's always been. Someone might mistake it for a command window if Black. Red would seem a better color as far as color meanings but not as easy to read. Black does, however in a lot of cultures signify death. ;)

I think I saw in some utility that you can change the color of the BSOD windows. Maybe Winaero Tweaker? Nope, but you can turn off the new BSOD with the Smiley Face and get the old detailed BSOD back.

Not the same, but with NotMyFault you have the possibility to customize the color. Maybe try it sometime and see for yourself ;)
