Hi, I've been having all sorts of problems recently, I think they stem from the "..Ordinal 459 is missing from the urlmon.dll library " error, which I was trying to deal with when I tried to do a sfc and got the above message. I think it fair to say that I'm a beginner and as is often the case I stumbled upon your site whilst on some kind of clueless hunt, it had a nice blue thing going on, and with that and some other sound reasoning I decided to sign up. Any help with this would be very welcome as things were starting to pile up and I just couldn't deal with it all, some kind of breakdown seemed inevitable and this scan failing looked ominous. I think I've attached a file with some system information, if you were to need more then give me a shout and I'll get onto it.

Hello and welcome to the forum :)

What I would like to see is the log results of SFC failing, the following will most likely make SFC fail but it is important to get the most recent log of where it fails to see if it can be repaired easily.

SFC /SCANNOW

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
button. Inside the search box type in CMD
  2. Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
  4. Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with the rest of the steps.

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
button => Inside the search box copy and paste the following command:
    Code:
    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  2. Press Enter
  3. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or ge.tt

Thanks

Alex
