I replaced the motherboard in a PC a month or so ago, and now am getting Windows not Genuine messages. Contacted HP, and they said I have to buy a new license! Called Microsoft and they said the same thing! I thought you could replace hardware items and then go through a process to get activated again. HELP!!!!
This is an HP Pavilion P7-1154. The COA sticker on the side of the box indicates this is Windows 7 Home Premium.
