I'm trying to backup my system partition with Clonezilla but the software keeps signalling inconsistencies or errors with the source disk.
I tried executing CHKDSK (/f and /r) to no avail. SFC /scannow signals an error with this file: PINTLGB.IMD which is linked to a program by ASUS (I'm using an ASUS laptop with a preinstalled copy of Windows 7).

I read in this thread that some steps can be taken to solve this problem: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...ow-cannot-repair-member-file-pintlgb-imd.html and I would like to ask support to repair the file.

EDIT: I followed the instructions to post large files after creationg a thread but I still can't see the CBS folder attached to this thread. If you can see it all is well, if you need it I can select some contents of the folder and post it to you, the full size of the archive is 12,3MB.

Lets fix this one up....

SFCFix Script

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Download SFCFix.exe (by niemiro) and save this to your Desktop.
  2. Download SFCFix.zip, and save this to your Desktop. Ensure that this file is named SFCFix.zip - do not rename it.
  3. Save any open documents and close all open windows.
  4. On your Desktop, you should see two files: SFCFix.exe and SFCFix.zip.
  5. Drag the file SFCFix.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it.
  6. SFCFix will now process the script.
  7. Upon completion, a file should be created on your Desktop: SFCFix.txt.
  8. Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Ctrl+V) the contents of this file into your next post for me to analyse please - put [CODE][/CODE] tags around the log to break up the text.

SFC /SCANNOW

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
button. Inside the search box type in CMD
  2. Right click on CMD => Choose Run as Administrator
  3. Inside the Command Prompt windows copy and paste the following command SFC /SCANNOW
  4. Please wait for this to Finish before continuing with the rest of the steps.

Convert CBS.log to CBS.txt

  1. Click on the
    Win7Orb_zps4dae3b32.jpg
button => Inside the search box copy and paste the following command:
    Code:
    cmd /c copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log "%userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt"
  2. Press Enter
  3. Once this has completed please go to your Desktop and you will find CBS.txt => Please upload CBS.txt to this thread

Please Note:: if the file is too big to upload to you next post please upload via Dropbox or ge.tt

I renamed the .zip file to SFCFix.zip as it had a timestamp in the filename, hope I didn't mess the thing up.

Yes, no more problems with PINTLGB.IMD, I'm not sure which database did the niemmiro's app use as a reference for copying a correct version but it's all right now, I guess the lines about restored permissions mean that it's not anymore accessible too. A very nice job indeed. Only, it seems Clonezilla is having other problems cloning the partition. Whatever, one less problem now, I'll take a deeper look into the next ones in the next few days. Thank you

Its from the zip file I uploaded.

That's to ensure that the files are replaced safely.
