· Windows 7 x64
· OEM from newegg
· Age of system: 1-2 Months
· Age of OS installation: 1-2 Months never reinstalled
· CPU: i5-3570k
· Video Card: EVGA GTX 660 SC
· MotherBoard: ASUS P8Z77-V LK
· Power Supply: Rosewill HIVE Series HIVE-750 750W
I noticed that my brothers voltage to his CPU at load (prime95 and IBT) was sitting around .968v which seems low but I can't find the stock voltage on his CPU anywhere and the bios power management leave a lot to be desired. Any help would be appreciated as this PC was a birthday gift and as much as he loves it is really disappointing to see it having these issues.
We are going to run memtest over night tonight to see if it's a memory or dimm slot issue.
*EDIT* My brother thinks it has to do with plugging his PS3 controller in (first 2 times it happened after plugging his Dual shock 3 controller in and 3rd time when he put his controller down hard and he thinks it might have disconnected it). After running driver verify every time we plug the controller in his PC BSOD but it isn't a DRIVER_VERIFY or w/e error and it's different than the BSOD he's been getting so I don't know if that's it or not.
