Re: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files that was unable to fix.

dear Richard,
today when i opened my laptop, it displays a message windows 7 is not genuine (evaluation code: 7601). So i used SFC/Scannow then i got a message like this in command prompt

C:\Windows\system32>SFC /SCANNOW
Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.
Beginning verification phase of system scan.
Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example
C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log
The system file repair changes will take effect after the next reboot.
C:\Windows\system32>

what can i do to repair this? if i repair this myy windows will be genuine?

Re: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files that was unable to fix.

Sorry I don't know the answer to your problem but sure someone will come by soon that can. I did find this, however.

Re: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files that was unable to fix.

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

Re: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files that was unable to fix.

The installation is using the Default Key for Windows 7 Ultimate - and can never be activated with that Key.
The SLIC table that should be present in the BIOS for an OEM pre-install is damaged, and so cannot be used for self-activation.
Your installation of Office is counterfeit, based on a blocked Volume License Key.

Re: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files that was unable to fix.

In that case, You need to change the Product Key to the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case (or inside the battery compartment), using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page.

You may need to activate by phone.
Post a new MGADiag report when complete, so we can check the results

i couldn't find the product anywhere. i dont have a coa sticket and not inside the battery compartment.

Re: Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files that was unable to fix.

In that case, your installation must be classed as counterfeit - and you'll have to purchase a new Full license for Windows, and clean install that.
