In march 2013 I've change some parts of my PC. Tbh I only haven't changed my ssd but it was working fine before. And since then I'm having blue screens with different errors. Also sometimes some applications crash, and won't load again, until i reboot PC.

Things I did:
  • checked ram with memtest - 8 passes no erros
  • switched ram slots, also switched from dual to single
  • changed PSU
  • removed graphic card and run on intel graphics
  • had several windows reinstallations

My PC:
  • Windows 7 x64 Pro retail
  • all reinstallations were made on same version of Windows
  • last reinstall was made on 8th August

  • Asrock Z77 Extreme4
  • i5 3570K
  • 2x4GB Adata 1600 MHz cl9
  • PSU: BeQuiet 450 - 1 momnths ago i changed it to - Corsair CX600M
  • MSI GTX660 N660-2GD5/OC - I removed it week ago and now I'm playing on intel graphics.
Minidumps andjcgriff2 app files:

I made thread on tomshardware (link 1, link 2) but folks there weren't able to solve my problem. So satrow suggested asking for help here - he thought it might be caused by some root/boot-kit.
Please helpe me! :(

Welcome to Sysnative!

I just ran the dumps again, I didn't see any new ones since the last time I ran them, a few days ago - have you had any new crashes? If not, perhaps the changes you've already made have had an impact?

What I immediately noticed this time was that there's no sign of a possible difference in win32k.sys - it looks like the MS Symbols server bugged on me the first time.

When you removed the graphics card, did you also remove the nVidia drivers? If not, please uninstall them now.

I'd appreciate another input here (Patrick?), note that only the last 4 dumps are from the current build/install,

Attached the files here, it's easier if they're all easily accessible: View attachment bsod(4).rar

On a very poor internet connection right now. Will run the dumps and see what's what when I get home (~30 minutes from this post).

Alright, I ran through some dumps. We're seeing various different bugchecks:

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (3b)

An exception happened while executing a routine that transitions from non-privileged code to privileged code.

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED_M (1000007e)

A system thread generated an exception that the error handler did not catch.

IMAGE_NAME: memory_corruption

KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (1e)

This error typically indicates low disk space, hard disk issue, a bug in a device driver or the system BIOS.

In the *1e bugcheck, I am seeing various NTFS and hard disk related calls... I'd like you to run some hard disk diagnostics.

SeaTools | Seagate

You can run it via Windows or DOS. Do note that the only difference is simply the environment you're running it in. In Windows, if you are having what you believe to be device driver related issues that may cause conflicts or false positive, it may be a wise decision to choose the most minimal testing environment (DOS).

Run all tests EXCEPT: Fix All, Long Generic, and anything Advanced.

Also run Furmark -

Furmark:
FurMark Video Stress Test - free from here: FurMark: VGA Stress Test, Graphics Card and GPU Stability Test, Burn-in Test, OpenGL Benchmark and GPU Temperature | oZone3D.Net
FurMark Setup:
- If you have more than one GPU, select Multi-GPU during setup
- In the Run mode box, select "Stability Test" and "Log GPU Temperature"
Click "Go" to start the test (Looks like it's "BURN-IN test" now)
- Run the test until the GPU temperature maxes out - or until you start having problems (whichever comes first).
- Click "Quit" to exit

Patrick

I did have one bsod, and a lot of crashes since those changes ware made.
I didn't remove nvidia drivers - did that now.

About what Patrick said:
For some reason I'm unable to run SeaToolsDOS - tried both from CD and USB.
It starts loading, but then this appears on my screen and nothing happens:

So i did those test u asked for from Windows - no errors there. Also my disks were fine before i changed to new parts.

About Furmark - I'm running now on intel graphics - removed my GTX660 - so is it necessary ?

Hi,

In regards to that Seatools issue, I have no idea to be quite honest. That could indicate hard disk failure or nothing at all and just a BIOS bug.

Do you have any new dumps to show us? If so, please attach the ones we have not seen and not all of them, please.

Regards,

Patrick

no new bsods but still my apps are crashing like crazy
Run MSInfo32, give it ~10 minutes or so to collect all the info then Save As the default MSInfo32.nfo, zip and attach it; it might give pointers as to some common factor for the program crashes.

Also, Computer Management > Event viewer > Windows logs > Application: filter it and check all Event levels except Information, Save as the default *evtx type, zip and attach it.

I'm really struggling trying to read and make sense of the logs, I've had an eye problem for almost a week.

Try this MS Fixit, the WMI error is logged many times and it has been reported to cause hangs, etc. with some Steam games: Event ID 10 is logged in the Application log after you install Service Pack 1 for Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2

There may be other issues, this one may be the biggest, if it helps, clear all event logs in a day or so, that way any fresh logs will be more focused on any further issues.

Plenty of these in the Event Viewer log:
The description for Event ID 1 from source NvStreamSvc cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
I'd completely uninstall the nVidia graphics and video driver software and install it 'drivers only' to test further: https://www.sysnative.com/forums/wi...cards-driver-only-installation-procedure.html

I'll let Patrick check the crash dump, I did have a quick scan of the loaded drivers using BlueScreenView and noticed that it's somehow flagging serial.sys as being implicated!?

Possible flaky 3rd party drivers, uninstall them and any hardware they belong to during testing if you can, otherwise check for and install any updates:
MBfilt64.sys 7/31/2009 04:40:32 Driver Reference Table - MBfilt64.sys
Lachesis.sys 10/16/2009 14:09:12 Razer Lachesis mouse drivers (unlikely that newer ones are available)
dtsoftbus01.sys 6/20/2013 08:22:51 Driver Reference Table

MBfilt64.sys - Realtek HiDefinition Audio driver (file labelled as Creative Audio Driver). Most Creative audio drivers have been given up on in regards to being updated. For reference, mine are dated from 2008. The only way to get newer versions is if you're on Windows 8 it seems.

Lachesis.sys - Lachesis mouse drivers. For reference, these drivers and Razer's new 2.0 software is absolutely awful and is textbook definition bloatware. Uninstall your Lachesis drivers and just have Windows install the generic mouse drivers. You're better off.

dtsoftbus01.sys - Daemon Tools. Uninstall it, infamous cause of BSOD's.

In regards to the dump, it's a MEMORY_MANAGEMENT (1a) bugcheck.

This indicates that a severe memory management error occurred.

BugCheck 1A, {31, fffffa800957fca0, fffff8800dbea000, fffff8a00d8e3004}

The 1st parameter of the bugcheck is 31 which falls under - The image relocation fix-up table or code stream has been corrupted. This is probably a hardware error.

Given the above, faulty video card memory is likely if it's not the RAM itself. If after following satrow's advice you're still crashing, do you have access to integrated video? If so, uninstall your drivers once again, remove video card, enable integrated video, install drivers from motherboard page, restart and use system as you regularly would.

How long ago did you run Memtest for ~8 passes? I'd run it again.

Regards,

Patrick

I removed Daemon tools, Lachesis drivers, and installed drivers only for my graphic. Going to run memtest overnight today.

So I launched memtest yesterday, and when I was about to go to bed i checked it it, and there were some errors. So i launched it again, and after another 4 minutes there were errors again. I PC off and went to bed. I launched memtest again today, but after first pass there were no errors, so i changed settings to onyl check first 2GB of ram (thats where the first 2 errors occured) and i got error again, but RAM Settings were weird: 4133MHz (DDR3-8267) / CAS : 15-15-15-255. I've notice that those settings change a lot when i restart the test. Here are screen of those errors:

After that i tried switching slots, then i came back to original slots, but couldn't get any erros in first pass.
