Hello folks,

Recently I had bought a new Dell laptop and I asked for 2 same ram memories but instead of that I received 2 different brands but almost identical.
One is CL16 and the other one is CL17.
Do you think that I should return the laptop and asked them for 2 same ram memories? I think that g.skill was stock memory and Samsung was later installed because I wanted 16gb ram instead of 8gb ram.
Thanks!

I'm no expert here but if me, since they clearly are working, leave it.

If you look at the timings, they are both at 15.15.15.35. They are both PC4-19200 (2400MHz = 2 x 1200MHz). There is a difference in latency values between CL16 and CL17, but this difference is less than 1ns (1 nanosecond = 1/1,000,000,000 or 1 billionth of 1 second).

Note DDR = double duty rate. Hence 1200 x 2.

Also, about 99% certain G Skill uses Samsung chips.
