The little river twittering in the twilight,
The wan, wondering look of the pale sky,
This is almost bliss.
And everything shut up and gone to sleep,
All the troubles and anxieties and pain
Gone under the twilight.
Only the twilight now, and the soft "Sh!" of the river
That will last for ever.
And at last I know my love for you is here;
I can see it all, it is whole like the twilight,
It is large, so large, I could not see it before,
Because of the little lights and flickers and interruptions,
Troubles, anxieties and pains.
We need to give each other the space to grow,
to be ourselves, to exercise our diversity.
We need to give each other space so that we may both give and receive such beautiful things as ideas,
openness, dignity, joy, healing, and inclusion.
The basic thing is that everyone wants happiness, no one wants suffering. And happiness mainly comes from our own attitude, rather than from external factors. If your own mental attitude is correct, even if you remain in a hostile atmosphere, you feel happy.
We frail humans are at one time capable of the greatest good and,
at the same time,
capable of the greatest evil.
Change will only come about when each of us takes up the daily struggle ourselves to be more forgiving,
compassionate, loving, and above all joyful in the knowledge that,
by some miracle of grace, we can change as those around us can change too.
When two people who together seek change, each must change what they hold closest. The person who cant trust must, the person who is insecure must become secure. Only in this way may both see the inner soul that drew them together in the first place.
The key to change... is to let go of fear. To take the chance for the rewards are worth it
“It is wrong to think that love comes from long companionship and persevering courtship. Love is the offspring of spiritual affinity and unless that affinity is created in a moment, it will not be created for years or even generations”
