Hello,
I have a problem with PSR (Problem Steps Recorder) since the 2 KB KB3060716 and KB3071756.
I start PSR, I'm recording some actions during some seconds, and I stop to record to save my actions in a zip file in the desktop.
Then, when I'm opening the zip file, I can see a .mht file, and when I'm extracting it and open it, there is no data inside.
Also, I can see that the date of begin of record is 1st of january 1601 !)
This is on all the computers I have (under W7 Enterprise SP1, 32 or 64 bits).
If I'm uninstalling both KB3060716 and KB3071756, and I reboot my computer, then PSR is working again.

Are you aware about such problem ?
Do you have any idea how to solve it (except by removing these 2 KBs :-))?

See if the hotfix noted here helps.

Hi Bill,

Thanks a lot : the patch KB3080149 is solving the problem.
But I'm not very happy with the Telemetry service which is sending automatically data to Microsoft.
No way to have only the fix for PSR, without having this telemetry service ?

Thanks

I would not worry about telemetry services. Sadly, the irresponsible, Microsoft bashing, IT press has blown this privacy issue way out proportion with falsehood just to sensationalize headlines. To be sure, if you have a smart phone, your privacy is being violated to a much greater extent than anything Microsoft is doing with your computer - to include your true physical location to within a few feet , the direction you are going and where you have been.

For the true facts about Windows 10 spying and security, see Ed Bott's article, No, Microsoft is not spying on you with Windows 10 and his follow-up, Microsoft tries to clear the air on Windows 10 privacy furor.
