I'm using a Surface Pro running Win10. Recently, my Local (Local by Flywheel) program updated to v5.0.6. Since then, I cannot open the program. I've reloaded it, reverted to a previous version, all with no luck. It installs, but won't open. Maybe coincidentally, Skype also won't open. I click on the icon or the .exe file, I see the Windows "I'm working" icon for a second or two, but nothing happens. FYI, I've fixed errors that SFC Scan showed and now get a clean bill of health. Still no joy.

Thanks for the thread:

  1. Read the first tutorial to enter the Safe Mode feature in Windows 10.
  2. Open your Skype program.
  3. Open the Skype advanced connections settings feature.
  4. Disable the feature “uPnP”.
  5. Reboot the Skype program as well as your operating system.
  6. Open the Skype app after the reboot is done and see if it opens.
