Hello,

I got a problem, as I have a corrupted component store on my Windows Server 2016, trying to repair it with SFCFix the tool keeps crashing giving me following message:
SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro.
Start time: 2023-05-17 12:26:57.821
Microsoft Windows Server 10 Build 14393 - amd64
Not using a script file.

SFCFix version 3.0.2.1 by niemiro has encountered an unhandled exception.
Currently storing 0 datablocks.
Finish time: 2023-05-17 12:27:06.025
----------------------EOF-----------------------

This happens after it tries to read my CBS.log file.

I also attached my CBS.log, maybe someone can help me therewith.

Best regards and Thank You in advance,

Lukas

Hi and welcome to Sysnative,

Step 1. Download

  • Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
  • Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it to your desktop.
  • Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

  • SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
  • Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt.
  • Post the logfile (SFCFix.txt) as attachment in your next reply.

Step 2. Run the System File Checker and post the result. If it fails attach a new copy of the CBS log.
Code:
SFC /Scannow
