Hello,
I've tried the solutions from the Guide to CNBJ2530 but the WinStoreUI-Events.ptxml file corruption seems to be a factor in not restoring a good system image.
Initial symptom was no screen output: no login screen or desktop. Tried an Automatic Startup Repair which was not successful followed by a System Restore. Not sure if that restore effort was successful but got to the Recovery Screen and to the command prompt window. Ran sfc/scannow but got messages that "some corrupt files were not fixed" and looked at the CBS logs and found that CNBJ2530 and the inStoreUI-Events files were corrupt.
Ran DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and got Error 0x800f0906 source files could not be downloaded in the DISM logs. It was recommended to use the "source" option of DISM to specify the location of the files required to restore the feature. I didn't quite understand the literature and am not sure what to do with this option.
I also ran DISM with /ScanHealth and /CheckHealth with "is repairable" results.
To download the SFCFix.exe I had to power down and up to access the Recovery screen and get to Safe Mode with Networking. Output file from SFCFix is below.

Windows 8 was preloaded on the desktop and I created a System Repair Disc but can't find it. Any suggestions to overcome these issues would be greatly appreciated. If additional logs or infomation would be helpful please let me know.
Thanking you in advance,
