I have a Lenovo IdeaPad Z580. It is about 4 years old. My sons no longer need it so I used the Reset button and refreshed it to its purchase date. This wiped everything off the computer. When I tried to run Windows Update, however, I keep receiving the following error message - Windows Updates failed to install, Reverting Changes. This message is posted for about 24 hours while the computer is hung up in a restore mode. Then the computer reverts to the home screen and no updates have been installed. Because it has been so long, there are obviously numerous updates that are needed - almost over 200. I have run the SFC Fix which states that no errors are found - it does have to do an extended run. The log file is below. And I Have posted the CBS log folder here. Can you please help walk me through what I need to get this updated? Or am I stuck having to buy WIndows 10 and installing that? If so I will probably just buy a new cheap lap top. I only need this for word and email and occasional browsing.

Actually I can't seem to upload the CBS folder zipped. It is quite large - 242 MB compressed. For a computer that essentially has nothing on it that seems large.
