Hi. I have an Acer Switch 10 tablet with Win8.1 and I am trying to update to Windows 10.

When I use Windows Update I get the 80070004 error (dt000 when I search it with win update).

I have read some posts and I have tried:

  • Install all the updates of Windows 8.1.
  • Try to update to windows 10 using windows update and Windows Media Tool (with admin priviledges).
  • Create new local user with admin privileges.
  • Use the Windows Update Fixing tool (I also have restarted the services manually).
  • Delete the SoftwareDistribution/Download folder.
  • Use a clean boot.
  • SFC /scannow
  • Change the system language.
  • Uninstall the antivirus and disable the Firewall.
  • dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
  • dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /startcomponentcleanup

The logs are:

I don't know if anyone can help me. Thank you very much in advance.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that also I have deleted all the empty folders in StartMenu.

Thx.

Hello and Welcome!

What is the name of your computer?

To find it:
Right click on the Start button.Click System.
Look Under the section titled Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings.

Code:
2016-01-05 16:27:09, Error MigPlatformStartupOnline caught exception: Win32Exception: Invalid machine account for TODOS: El nombre proporcionado no es un nombre de cuenta con la estructura correcta. [0x00000523] class UnBCL::String *__thiscall Mig::COnlineWinNTPlatform::GetMachineSid(class UnBCL::String *)

I'm really sorry I couldn't check the solution before.

You were right, it was the computer name, it was "TODOS", I've change it and now it works perfecly.

Thank you very much!
