I've maybe tried about 10-20 updates but none worked. The closest I've gotten was 95% and then bam, back to the "reverting back to windows" screen. :banghead:
Help guys, I've been trying since August of 2015. I ran a troubleshoot and the results are attached below.

I tried deleting that folder but for some reason it says it was being used by another program?

Hello and Welcome!

Please attach C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log

I apologize for the ridiculously late reply. I am unable to attach the file you requested because I get this error "access denied." I am the one and only user of the computer and i am also on the master account.

Interesting.

Please try the following:

DISM /RestoreHealth Scan

Warning: this fix is specific to the user in this thread. No one else should follow these instructions as it may cause more harm than good. If you are after assistance, please start a thread of your own.

  1. Right-click on the Start
    w8start.png
button and select Command Prompt (Admin)
  2. When command prompt opens, Copy (Ctrl+C) and Paste (Right-click > Paste) the following command into it, then press Enter

    Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

  3. When DISM finishes scanning your component store, zip up and attach your CBS log to your next post:

    C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

If the zip file is larger than 8MB, please use a file sharing service such as OneDrive, DropBox, SendSpace, etc and include the link with your reply.

I don't see the DISM information in the CBS log.

Please try running DISM again and wait for it to complete, then zip and attach the CBS log from C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

That's part of the DISM information I am looking for, so you have the right file but it appears that DISM wasn't quite finished.

Please upload the CBS log again and I'm sure it will have the complete list :)

Very good.

Let's run DISM again to verify that all the corrupt files have been replaced.

Looks good :thumbsup2:

Try downloading and running the Windows 10 Media Creation Tool to start the Windows 10 upgrade here: http://download.microsoft.com/downl...A629FA94E74/GetWindows10-sds_____________.exe

If the installation fails note the error code, then zip and attach C:\$Windows.~bt\Sources\Panther\SetupAct.log with your reply.

The update failed. And when I tried to open the log, it gives me a "Access Denied" signal box. :banghead:
