Save any work you have open, and close all programs.

Not bothered too much about the DISM error, but I need to see your latest CBS.log and you don't appear to have posted it.

Nothing showing in the latest log, however the earliest entry on it is dated .... 2024-03-28 01:56:25 ..... whereas the last fix was run at .... 2024-03-27 19:29 .... so we've got a time gap between them. This means that some entries have been "archived" into a persist log, so I need to see your whole CBS folder.

So can you please do the following ....

Open Windows Explorer and browse to the ... C:\Windows\Logs\CBS ... folder.
Right click on it, and select ... Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder
A message will appear stating, "Windows cannot create the Compressed (zipped) Folder here. Do you want it to be placed on the desktop instead?"
- Answer Y to create a folder CBS.zip on your Desktop.
Please attach it to your next post.
- If the file is too large, please upload it to a file sharing service and provide the link to it in your next reply.

When a CBS.log gets to a certain size, Windows archives it and starts a new CBS.log, occasionally it happens at an inconvenient moment. Such was the case this time.

There's a few things being flagged in your persist logs that need patching, but to get them I'm going to need to update my WS2019 VM a couple of times, as they're from different updates, so it's gonna take me a while.

I'll get back to you ASAP, but it may not be tonight as I've got some other stuff I need to deal with as well.

Please wait for me to tell you to update before attemting to update.

Your previous log had a problem that needed patching, so of course your update attempt failed.

I know we're only progressing slowly, but that's just the nature of the problem that we're dealing with, and sadly there's no way to shortcut the repair.

So, here's the fix for the problem in the log you posted in post #34

WARNING! The following fix is specific to the user's system in this thread only. No one else should follow these instructions, as it could damage your system.

Download the attachment SFCFix.zip and save it on your desktop.
Save any work you have open, and close all programs.
Drag the SFCFix.zip file over the SFCFix.exe executable and release it.

SFCFix will launch, let it complete.
Once done, a file will appear on your desktop, called SFCFix.txt
Open the file, then copy and paste its content in your next reply.

Next ...

Click Search button and type Command Prompt
From the results, right click on the Command Prompt icon, and select Run as administrator
A Command Window will open.
Copy paste the command below into it, then press Enter
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Once DISM has finished running ...
- Please attach your ... C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\cbs.log ... to your next reply.
If the file is too large, upload it to a file sharing service, and post me the link.
Examples of services to upload to are WeTransfer and TransferKit and SendFileOnline
