POST Error hard disk imminent failure notice upon boot-up

I recently put a M.2 SSD in an HP ProOne desktop machine and now every time I boot up I see this:




I ran the thorough diagnostic test and everything passed.





When I see that imminent failure message I simply press Enter and Windows loads normally. I guess I could just continue doing this, but obviously I'm getting that message for some reason. Any ideas?

Do as xrobwx71 says and be sure you make up one or more backups.

It could still be cables. Try new ones or maybe just loose. In a shop, or if you have another HP computer, you could see if the disc doesn't get the SMART warning.

Are you using one of the following systems?

• HP ProOne 400 Non-Touch All-in-One Desktop PC
• HP ProOne 400 Touch All-in-One Desktop PC
• HP ProOne 600 G3 Non-Touch All-in-One Desktop PC

It seems this is a common issue on HP systems:
