Heya Guys,

I'm doing my best to increase my knowledge of computers to make myself more valuable to my employer, which I'm hoping to be Microsoft, Google, Yahoo, FBI/CIA, or something of that sort.

But on my trek of trying to bypass all of the policies and get a portable version of a coding program that can compile. I can't install anything that requires UAC Access. So I'm looking for a portable version that'll fit on a 2GB or a 4GB Thumb Drive.

Notepad++ doesn't work for me due to it having no compilation features. :( Plus, I suck with HTML coding xD

Thanks Tekno.

My end time goal is to eventually work for CCP Games, Developers of EVE Online & Dust 514. So, I'm trying to cram my brain full of useful information. I have a C++ Book, and a Python book, but I can't make heads or tails out of either book. I guess its my fault, I used to do script kiddy work for an old game. I just injected scripts, someone else debugged. Always start too high. :(

Maybe you can teach me some time :)

Never had any luck with CodeBlocks myself at school.

What issue are you having with SharpDevelop?

I have a feeling it's because the download is packaged as a PortableApps installer, which is an installer and probably blocked by your schools system. All the installer does is copy the files to a memory stick of your choice.

I have a feeling if you managed to copy the files to a folder another way without using the installer, sharpDevelop would run

Fails to load the application in total.

Any more detail you can provide with the issues you're having?

I believe you are right in this manner.
