Hi there, I have been having a problem with my PC for a long time now and have searched the forums night and day for a cure but to no luck
I have high DPC Latency which is causing crackling and popping audio. After running the program LatencyMon I can see that the biggest offender is dxgkrnl.sys (Direct X Graphics Kernel), with occasional spikes from nvlddmkm.sys. (Nvidia Direct X Graphics Kernel)
My specs are:
Motherboard: Asus Z97-A
CPU: i7-4790K
GPU: Zotac GTX 970
RAM: 8GB
PSU: Corsair 650W
I have:
- Tried a different graphics card in my system
- Uninstalled, re-installed and rolled back Drivers.
- Turned off all CPU and power throttling settings in BIOS and Windows.
- Run numerous Virus and Malware scans.
- I even sent the motherboard back as faulty and got a replacement, but it didn't fix it .
- Made myself grey stressing about it haha.
If someone was kind enough to give me a hand diagnosing the problem I would be so grateful, crackling audio is really a deal breaker when you're a gamer.
Thanks in advance!
