I can't seem to get rid of an error with SFC /scannow.
When I run it the error I get is:
Cannot repair member file [l:18{9}]"MSDTC.LOG"
I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64bit
I can't find the file MSDTC.LOG

As a side note in the folder C:\Windows\servicing\Packages
I have 24,111 files. Is that normal?

Is there anything else I can do to help you figure out a solution?

Hi Docfxit,

Are you running into a problem that is prompting you to run sfc?

Thank you for the reply.

Yes. I'm getting errors running a program called Dazzle. The program is provided by Endicia. The program prints US Postage on envelopes.

I have run:
Chkdsk /r
It did fix some errors.
It's now clean.
I did run SFC /scannow after that.
I'm getting the same error.

Thank you,

Docfxit

What errors are you getting when you try to run Dazzle?

If you've already gone through troubleshooting/diagnostics and the next step suggests running sfc /scannow then I think you'd probably want to post the problem to this forum:

Windows Update
