Hello, I'm looking for assistance for some Events I've been finding in my Event viewer for a very long time. I've also looked for assistance from the answers.microsoft site but so far they haven't proved very useful.

Premise: The main issue with this laptop (Dell Inspiron 17R 7720 windows 8) is that, while I work, sometimes the disk usage will burst to 100% without any apparent reason. That's why I've been looking at the Event Viewer in search of some clue.

I used to get Events 1010 (windspool.drv - Spooler), 3011 (WmiApRpl) and 3012 everyday (please note that I don't know if they are related to the issue of the disk usage), so I got curious and looked for a solution on the internet, I found in many sites this command lodcrt /r, and I ran it. The moment when I used the command, 10 new events appeared: 3009 and 2007 for all the names I list here: WSearchIdxPi, usbhub, UGTHRSVC, UGatherer, RemoteAccess. (I guess it means that the counters didn't load properly for those services).

After that, once in a while now I find these events in my viewer: 1008 (remoteaccess), 1010 (windspool.drv - Spooler), 2001 (usbperf), so the problem is not fixed, it just changed... @_@

The guy at answers.microsoft told me to run sfc /scannow. I ran sfc /verifyonly and in the sfcdetails file I found these corrupted files:

I ran scannow and it said it couldn't fix some files but the sfcdetails file was completely empty, so I ran verifyonly again and this time only the prncacla.inf files remain corrupt (the "windows.ui.xaml.dll.muiisn't there anymore so it must've been fixed). I've read everywhere (including in this forum) that the prncacla is a non-significant error. Could it be the cause of the corruption of the performance counters? I doubt it. The microsoft guy wants me to run Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /ScanHealth and then /RestoreHealth, but I am starting to think that he is just wasting my time.

So here I am. Any chance you could help me to fix these performance counters so I can exclude the possibility that they are causing the 100% disk usage issue (or any other issue)? Thank you in advance for your help!
