So, recently my USB controller has stopped working. The "Device Status" says "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)". Reinstalling drivers didn't help. I suspect a hardware issue, but I'm writing this with the hope it's actually a software issue and someone will be able to help me solve this problem.

Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. I added my specs in the preferences, but apparently, they're not displayed.

To open device manager, click start, then Run. In the Run dialogue, type devmgmt.msc and hit enter.

When Device Manager opens find the USB Controller in the list, it may have a yellow triangle with an exclamation point on it, right-click it and select remove or uninstall. Reboot the computer.

Hopefully, Windows will re-install it correctly.

The picture will not exactly match yours in naming and is just an example of how it might look to give you confidence in what you're looking for.

Make sure yes is checked and click Save.
It is checked. Maybe it's because I didn't fill all fields?

I tried that already. It didn't work. Windows couldn't install the driver after that.

Possible, one of our Developers can perhaps answer this one for you.

Does your current motherboard manufacturer have any updated driver files pertaining to your issue there? Does it have an updated BIOS?

Have you edited any settings in your BIOS?

Weird. I once again tried reinstalling the drivers using the driver installer and it worked :D Sorry for trouble and thanks anyway ;)
