PC playing up - repeated dism/sfc tools deployment to correct errors after exceptions

I wonder whether someone might enlighten me regarding my win 10 periodic slowdown and having to utilise dism and sfc to correct errors. The errors do get repaired each time.

It probably happens one a week where the pc becomes erratic and slow with exception errors which then require the repair tools. I would like to know why such behaviour should occur as I am not doing anything odd like installing new programs etc.

I use the pc for work mostly and some internet surfing (mostly motorcycle related).

Any thoughts?

Do you run any third-party AV or disk cleanup/defragmentation programs? If it periodically happens once a week then it would seem to be that something is being scheduled to run in the background.
