PC auditing?

I am working on an article regarding the collection of a PC's hardware & software information. I am familiar with the System Information applet and I have always used the Belarc Advisor.
Do you use another auditing tool to collect general PC information: hardware, installed software, etc?

I've used Speccy for quite a long while: https://www.piriform.com/speccy

I used to use SIW, but it's now paid for. The old, free 2011 version is still out there on various sites though, and I do keep it on my memory stick.
 
Easily explore your PC online/offline collator of hardware, software, driver versions, autoruns, etc. Main site is French, so digging deep into it may require a reasonable knowledge of French computing terms and language.
 
I've made this script - CollectTroubleshootingData - some time ago to collected a lot of information about PC some time ago, though I never polished it completely or tested properly. It requires elevation and takes 2-5 minutes to run :roll eyes (sarcasti
