My [Win8.1Pro x64] system was functioning perfectly except that I wanted to run a backup :rolleyes: I couldn't due to a VSS error - the 300MB Recovery partitions (one per SSD) were too full. I found no way to reduce the files on the partitions, so I decided to resize the partitions (!). If the details of the partition resizing are important LMK, otherwise suffice it to say that afterwards I could no longer login to Windows on my account:

Several reboots, SFC and chkdsk scans later, I'm logged in under a newly created admin user but permissions seem borked everywhere. SFC shows 100+ unrepairable items. x86/x64 DISMs fail with error 11 (can't service x64 OS with x86 DISM) and error 193 (can't service x86 "image" with x64 "host" w/o WOW64), respectively. Refresh fails too.

When running SFCFix.exe, this error immediately pops up several times:

I have a working Win8.1Home x64 laptop available to extract files from as well as a Windows installer on USB. Until I get a reply I'm going to work on fixing webio.dll and DismProv.dll.

from the boot USB, I've now got SFCFix up (no more webio.dll error) running its DISM scan. Will update when it finishes!
 
The scan "successfully" ran took almost two hours but it doesn't seem to have fixed anything :confused:
