So this hunt was prompted when attempting to launch a game from Ubisoft's Uplay client, or attempting to use the Adobe Flash auto-updater caused the following error;
From there I found that trying to launch Internet Explorer would open an unresponsive window that would shortly close. I tried calling windows support about it, but they want me to pay $90 for them to remote into my computer to fix it.
Windows Defender and Malwarebytes both report 0 infected files on my computer.
Googling ieframe.dll errors led me to a windows help article about running sfc /scannow. Googling more eventually brought me here and in the end I uninstalled the KB3022345 update, and now sfc comes up clean, but that did nothing to resolve my issue with ieframe
