[SOLVED] opaque network icon?

Hi all,

Any one knows what's the meaning of the network icon being opaque?
(Usually they are clear, like the one shown in item 5 here: Network Icon Explanation in Windows 7). Thanks.

Are you experiencing network issues? It could just be your desktop theme since the icon is transparent.

Thanks for the reply. I do not think there's any network issue. But I'm quite certain it's not the theme (it's the basic Windows theme, I did not change it). Avast prompted to restart computer to apply update, so I did, and afterward, the icon looks normal again... i also clicked the flag icon next to it, Windows reported 3 problems with video display hardware and could not fix... not sure if they are related; or, maybe it just need a restart.

Are you saying you no longer see the video display issues?

I don't see them anymore. They showed up when i clicked the flag icon. But now when I clicked it, it shows on only one message (to set up backup).
I'll leave it be for now.
