Don't laugh, I'm still using (on my Sony Vaio W7Pro x64 SP1, on which I have a I have a corrupted help file named _elbasuer_. I believe it is caused by bluetooth software. I have tried multiple solutions, recommended on various forums, but without success.
One recommendation that comes up frequently is a Regedit.exe search for "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Assistance\Client\1.0\Namespaces\OEM\en-US\Topics". In Topics, I am told I should delete BCRM_Bluetooth_Help string value. Unfortunately, there is nothing there. However, under Titles, also under en-US, there are several Sony REG-SZ file types. One responder suggested I delete these, but I fear that might be a bad move.
The primary problem with this _elbasuer_ file is that it has prevented 100s of Windows updates from being configured in the system. They download, install just fine, but will not configure on system restart. lnstead, the system reverts back to the previous configuration, which takes ages.
Please help.
