I can install all other updates as normal but there is a list of Office 2010 updates that persistently show as available. Office 2010 has never been installed on this computer. I started with Office 2013 and have since installed Office 2016.

I have also run an Office removal tool to remove all traces of Office and have done a clean install of Office 2016.

The updates available are the following:
Title : Update for Microsoft Office 2010 File Validation (KB2413186), 64-Bit Edition

Title : Security Update for Microsoft Excel 2010 (KB2553070), 64-Bit Edition

Title : Security Update for Microsoft SharePoint Workspace 2010 (KB2566445), 64-Bit Edition

Any help to get Windows 10 to realize that these updates are unnecessary would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

FRST Registry Search
1. Click your Start button and choose Control Panel.
2. In the upper right corner ensure the View by: is set to Category.
3. Select the Programs group.
4. Click the Turn Windows features on or off link. This will bring up the Windows Features dialog. Wait until this dialog populates with information. If this does not happen for some reason, please continue with the steps anyway.
Note: This loads your components hive which is what we want. Please keep this dialog open while you perform the remaining steps.
5. Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the 64-bit Version so please ensure you download that one.
6. Run FRST64 by Right-Clicking on the file and choosing Run as administrator.
7. Copy and paste
Office 2010;Office14 into the Search box and click the Search Registry button.
8. When the scan is complete a notepad window will open with the results. Please attach this to your next reply. It is saved on your desktop named SearchReg.txt.
9. You may close any remaining open windows now.

In the C:\Windows\Installer\ directory, as part of the manual removal, I searched for Office 2010 .msi files. I found only one (3f0f84c.msi). I moved this file to another location (as backup) and restarted our network monitoring client (software our company uses to monitor for issues). These updates immediately cleared from the queue of available updates.

I would consider this issue resolved and appreciate your assistance!
Mark
