NVidia control panel hangs

Whenever I open Nvidia control panel it hangs. I have attached the error message. Please help me

Try reinstalling your NVIDIA video drivers.

Check for updates.

What OS are you running?

I updated the drivers. But it didnt resolve the problem. I am using Windows 8.1.
