Hey all,
Win7
I already cleaned the system of all it's infestations. During the removal process, the network card quit working. It reports "cable disconnected". I have seen this before but have always been able to do a system restore after clean up to fix the nic.

I have already:
- cleaned the system
- netsh int ip reset
- installed latest nic drivers
-combofix

But the nic still thinks it has no cable....know of any utility that might fix this?

Sent from my phone...sorry for typos

Turns out it was just a bad update...Apparently the filter driver for the new AVG 2014 causes this behavior....Once I removed it all was well.

FYI - an uninstall of AVG2014 didn't remove the filter driver from the NIC, I had to manually uninstall it.
