Hi. This forum was recommended to me by someone in a different forum (bleepingcomputer) as I am having an issue that is specifically addressed here. Being new, I have no idea if I've done everything correctly and if the procedure is to post the required data and then wait for someone to investigate my issue. That's the way it is at bleepingcomputer. My issue is regarding Windows not updating and I am concerned about my computer's exposure to the dangers of not being currently updated. It hasn't been that long (I posted on last Friday) but perhaps I should do what I was originally going to do (reinstall Windows) instead of fixing the update issue? I'd appreciate knowing how the general flow is around here so I can make a decision of whether to wait or not. And I really want to avoid reinstalling Windows at all costs! Thanks and I hope I'm not acting out of line here...

Hi and welcome to the forum.

Have you created a post on this forum about your issue? If not please do so, somebody will be along to help you out.

Hi LittleGreenDots!

Please read: Not received a reply? Quick note on response times

The real problem is there are currently only 2 or 3 WU analysts/experts offering help (for free), and the others are busy with their real lifes.

Checking your CBS file, it seems (to me) there aren't corruptions.
This is confirmed by the tools you used (SFC, SURT, SFCFIX).

Recently, we solved a similar problem: [SOLVED] - BSOD on W7 upgrade to W10 & in driver verifier, no dumps. FIX: FEW drivers (and devices) removed; TPKD was the last one which blocked the upgrade.

If you already removed iLok licensing service, and you made a system image (full or partial), created a new system restore point, done a backup of your important files, you could try to remove the tpkd.sys device driver with these commands (launched from an elevated command prompt, i.e. command prompt (admin)):
Code:
sc stop tpkd
sc config tpkd start= disabled
sc delete tpkd

Then reboot and re-try the upgrade.
If this will work, you can reply here (I'll merge the threads later).
Otherwise, you could open a new thread in windows 7 sub-forum here at sysnative and we'll check your machine with you.
