I, like a lot of other users, am experiencing near daily installs of Net Native Framework Package 1.2.23205.0 and MS Advertising SDK for XAML. So far I’ve tried several things such as: MS FixDoNet Repair Tool, cleaning the SoftwareDistribution/Download folder, and even uninstalling the Windows Software Development Kit but they haven’t worked. You can check out the consolidated thread on Ten Forums about this (link below):

Yesterday I found the thread in this forum from 04-08-2016 started by Vensosaur about MS Visual C++ 2015 Runtime Package in which you said:

Hi BrianDrab,

Hi Venosaur -
The issue that you see is an update bug with the Windows Store. If you are not having an issue it can safely be ignored and will likely be fixed in a future update. If you are intent on trying to get rid of these repeated checks/installs we can do a repair install of Windows 10 which should do it. Let me know.
Thanks.

I’m not too keen to use the .Net Framework Cleanup Tool because of the risks involved (and I’m not sure that it would remove the Net Native Frameworks?) and I would like to avoid an in-place upgrade. Do you think there is another way of resolving this without waiting for MS to release a fix?

FYI here is more info that one of our members on the TenFoums found that might be helpful.

I generated the WU log for one of the days (5/19) where a duplicate install occurred and extracted some information.
From what I can decipher, it indicates the following:

1. WU downloads two items for updating:
(a) 2 "Bundles" for .NET Native Framework 1.2.23205.0:
[9F59A68F-2608-42CE-877A-4C0D66EFFBA7.1]
[25BB9E66-1B6F-48CB-8176-02A231E270A6.1]

and

(b) 3 "Bundles" for Microsoft Advertising SDK for XAML (which is another one it seems to be repeating)
[359B2C48-BB7A-4250-98E8-DA09C64EF167.1]
[20CFE861-B972-48E2-8359-766054AAAD3A.1]
[F9C36D2F-4292-485B-905B-29267D103B6A.1]

2. When it gets to the point of installing them.
(a) .NET Native Framework lists an additional item (not downloaded)
[A13F723C-03DD-47D9-AC6B-02B45DD6F41A.1] but only actually installs one of the three:
[25BB9E66-1B6F-48CB-8176-02A231E270A6.1]

(b) Microsoft Advertising SDK for XAML lists the 3 Bundles downloaded, but only installs two:
[20CFE861-B972-48E2-8359-766054AAAD3A.1]
[F9C36D2F-4292-485B-905B-29267D103B6A.1]

Is this normal for updating Apps or does this indicate what might be the problem?

Thanks for any help that you or another member can give us

Hi and welcome to Sysnative. I don't believe there is any known resolution to this. It's a minor benign annoyance. This happens on all of the Windows 10 machines at my work. Let me take a look however and see if I can come up with anything. I'll be back with you.

Hi BrianDrab, Thanks for the response. I had no idea that it was that wide spread! Maybe other users aren't paying much attention to there performance monitors. Since 5/24 neither of the two packages have installed again. I suspect that it might have been solved by an update to one of these apps:
Moves & TV
OneNote
3D Builder (updated two times)
Mail and Calendar
Office 15 Click-to-Run Components (four of them)
Sway

When I made my original post I thought this issue might be a foretell some underlying deficiency that might balloon into a show stopper. Since its not a show stopper, you need not devote any further time to this, especially with so may others with major issues.
Thanks for your time. BTW, forms are a great resource.

Hi BrianDrab, Thanks for the response. I had no idea that it was that wide spread! Maybe other users aren't paying much attention to there performance monitors.
I agree not many people do. Or if they do, likely not as thoroughly.

Since 5/24 neither of the two packages have installed again. I suspect that it might have been solved by an update to one of these apps:
Moves & TV
OneNote
3D Builder (updated two times)
Mail and Calendar
Office 15 Click-to-Run Components (four of them)
Sway
They will probably install again. It's not uncommon for a day or two to go by with them not re-installing.

Since its not a show stopper, you need not devote any further time to this, especially with so may others with major issues.

OK. I won't look further. Take care and thanks for the kind words.

I bet if you look at your reliability history you will see that they didn't install on the following days.

5/24/16
5/19/16
5/18/16

Hi BrianDrab, you're correct! What's the connection? Is this a similarity to other users or do some of these apps use the subject Native Framework Package?
