Hi for a long time i've had trouble with windows updater. It keeps popping up that it cannot check updates automatically. There are always 11 updates available to install, one includes Internet Explorer 11 and some security updates, I install them and it tells me it was successful on most apart from 3 (One always IE 11) shortly after all 11 pop back up again even the ones that told me were successful. I have tried repairing windows which failed, offline updating, disabling Avast, running the microsoft FixIt tool and nothing seems to work. This is driving me bonkers because I want everything up to date and also I want to reserve my Windows 10 copy which I cannot get the update for.

I ran SFCfix and here is the log

SFCFix version 2.4.5.0 by niemiro.

Please restart your computer, then try the following:

SFC Scan

  1. Click on the Start
    Start%20Orb.jpg
button and in the search box, type Command Prompt
  2. When you see Command Prompt on the list, right-click on it and select Run as administrator
  3. When command prompt opens, copy and paste the following commands into it, press enter after each

    sfc /scannow

Wait for this to finish before you continue

    copy %windir%\logs\cbs\cbs.log %userprofile%\Desktop\cbs.txt

  4. This will create a file, cbs.txt on your Desktop. Please attach this to your next post.
