I had thought there was a clean Windows 7 machine, but it turns out there were two remaining bad entries
Attached is SFCFix.txt and CBS.log file.
Looking forward to contributing after a solution has been achieved.

Thanks!

Hi,

Lets add the missing files...

SFCFix Script

  • Download SFCFix.exe (by Niemiro) and save it to the Desktop
  • Download the file SFCFIX.ZIP, attached below, and save this to your Desktop
  • On your Desktop, make sure you have the two files:
    myjIXnC.png
    SFCFix.exe and
    sfpcJCen14An3ndjNGCI7mByhjHJud.png
    SFCFIX.zip
  • Drag the file SFCFIX.zip onto the file SFCFix.exe and release it

Aw geez....
So what kind of damage did the first file do to my client's computer?
And is it corrected in the new one?

Absoluting nothing the folder x86_microsoft.vc80.mfc_1fc8b3b9a1e18e3b_8.0.50727.4053_none_cbf21254470d8752 contains several files inside with similar names I just replaced a existent file with a copy of the exact same file instead of mfc80.dll that was corrupt.

Please run SFC /scannow to see if it finds corrupted files and fix them all.

This is much better:

As SFC finished without errors.

Much appreciate the assist. Now - on to the Win 7 to 10 migration (hoping that it completes cleanly).

Well, that was very much better than the first three or four aborted attempts.
Clean update.

Thank you very much for your help with this last missing piece.
