Monthly Roll up Problem Advice Please

Hello....I've just done the monthly update, etc, and for the first time ever....something went wrong.

I've had the odd occasion in the past where rebooting etc took a bit time, or hung up, but another reboot solved the problem.

Initially it said I had a problem with an audio device not initialising and a got a balloon message saying I needed to access the "systems event manager" (something like that) anyway, I tried twice and the same thing happened.

Because I don't know what this means or what to do, I used system restore to restore my desktop to how it was an hour earlier.

It seems OK but what do I do now ?
